The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and the MFA invites you to a discussion on recent development trends in the Arab world. Among the themes for discussion is whether the Arab Spring has created basis for:

•    A brighter future for young people?
•    More inclusive, equitable societies?
•    Better accountability of governments?

Discussions will also explore what are the long term issues which hamper development in the Arab region.

Guest speakers are Ghaith Fariz, lead author of the Arab Knowledge Report and Mohammad Pournik, lead author of the Arab Development Challenges Report, and Marwan Abi Samra, co-author of the Arab Development Challenges Report.
